A MANIFESTO ON DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

1. Digital technology appears due to the accumulation of knowledge related to substrates communication materials (channel) and the new needs of exchanging messages (semantic context) in which the fragmentation of cities need better tools of connection.2. To make it a viable project (commercial) its massification is required as it happened with the family photography. This presents the same problem of other technologies in which the contents have uneven levels of quality due to the variety of users.

3. The rational use of digital technology requires learning and criticism, as did television and radio. The difference now is that marketing has occurred more rapidly and the seductiveness been greater. In 2012, most countries using mobile devices to access the internet were Brazil and South Africa. The social network Facebook grew more in Latin America, while in the United States began to decline. This tells us that in their home is beginning to normalize, while in others are just entering his great powers of seduction. With television, it took several decades for its use to be in most households, with the internet, the changes are a matter of years and months.

4. The quality of digital communication is determined by the capacity and user education. Those who have benefited from it are those who already had a greater ability to use visual and written language, as well as those with a greater understanding of the culture (music, literature, technology, medicine …).

5. Psychologically speaking, as a new learning object, produces as Bion (Operative Groups) said ATTACK reactions or FUGE. Some criticize only their ability to dehumanize human relations and ability to manipulate the “mass”, eliminating the face to face communication. Others prefer to ignore it. The right attitude is to dialogue with it, use it, and in the process see if is useful for the production of culture (art, science, politics …).
